Create five richly pigmented lipsticks at home with a pre-made base and a curated set of colourants. The kit is beginner friendly, fast to melt and blend, and comes with shade formulas plus tips for customising your own colours.

Choose your packaging

Pick one option:

• 5 × 5ml clear glass pots (apply with a lip brush)
• 5 × 5g white plastic tubes
• 5 × 5g kraft tubes

Add-on available with this kit

• Mini measuring spoons — available as an optional add-on at checkout. These make pigment measuring simple and consistent; highly recommended for your first kit.

• Mini silicone spatula — handy for blending
• Glass beaker — ideal for melting and pouring
• Mini scales — useful if you want to divide the base evenly

Why these pigments

Iron oxides and titanium dioxide provide coverage, depth and staying power. Micas add sheen and nuance. Together they deliver saturated, wearable colour. (Mica alone will not colour a lipstick adequately.)

How to make it

Melt the base gently, stir in the measured pigments until completely uniform, then pour into your chosen packaging to set. A step-by-step video tutorial is available below, and our make your own lipstick has a full guide with extra tips.

Base details

Base INCI: Candelilla wax, Cocoa butter, Coconut oil, Safflower oil, Magnesium stearate, Magnesium myristate, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).

Compliance note

Ultramarines are not approved for lip use in the USA, but are approved for all cosmetics without restriction in the EU. Ultramarine blue is included only for the shade “Naomi Smalls”, so you can easily omit it if needed.
