Produced through the winterization of sunflower oil, sunflower wax is a popular vegan alternative for beeswax in balms, makeup and other cosmetics.Sunflower wax is a very potent hardening wax which gives products a creamy smooth texture.
It has a higher melting point than other waxes which makes it useful as you need less of it. Plus your final product can be exposed to higher temperatures, such as a lip balm or lipstick you wish to carry around in your pocket or handbag on a hot day.
