Luminescent Golden Pear Mica

Luminescent Golden Pear mica appears almost white at first, but when it catches the light it reveals a shimmering golden-green highlight. This soft, pearlescent shift makes it especially eye-catching in highlighters, eyeshadows, and other illuminating makeup.

Mica is a fine mineral powder that reflects light to create a pearlescent effect on the skin. It is produced by coating natural mica flakes with metal oxides such as titanium dioxide, iron oxide, or zirconium dioxide. The colour result depends on the thickness of these oxide layers, giving each mica its unique shade and glow.

Particle size also influences the finish: fine particles create a smooth satin effect, while larger particles add sparkle and shimmer. Luminescent Golden Pear mica works well in creams, balms, and all types of soapmaking. In clear M&P soap, the golden-green shift shows to full effect, while in opaque soaps the pearlescence is more muted but can still create beautiful swirled or brushed-on highlights.
