Luminescent Blush Mica

Luminescent Blush mica appears almost completely white at first glance, but when it catches the light it transforms into a beautiful pink-to-purple shimmer. This delicate colour-shifting effect makes it especially striking in eyeshadows, highlighters, and other illuminating cosmetics.

Mica is a fine mineral powder that reflects light to create a pearlescent effect on the skin. It is produced by coating natural mica flakes with metal oxides such as titanium dioxide, iron oxide, or zirconium dioxide. The exact colour and iridescence are determined by the thickness of these oxide layers, giving each mica its own unique shimmer.

The finish also depends on particle size: smaller particles create a smooth satin effect, while larger ones give more sparkle and shimmer. Luminescent Blush mica works well in body, lip, and face creams and balms, as well as in CP, HP, and M&P soaps. In clear M&P soap, its pink-violet shift is especially eye-catching, while in opaque soaps the shimmer is more subtle but can still produce beautiful effects when swirled in veins or brushed onto the finished bar.
