Lavender essential oil, French Maillette
LavenderĀ essential oil,Ā French Maillette
French Lavender Maillette, also known as Fine Lavender, is regarded as one of the most premium lavender varieties available. Highly prized in aromatherapy, skincare, and natural perfumery, it is celebrated for its exceptionally soft, sweet, and beautifully balanced aroma.
Its distinctive fragrance profile comes from a higher linalyl acetate content and lower camphor content compared to standard lavenders, giving it a luxurious, smooth floral character without harshness.
Grown in the renowned lavender regions of France at elevations above 500 metres, Maillette lavender benefits from mineral-rich soil and cooler mountain climates. These growing conditions produce a superior oil with remarkable aromatic depth, although the terrain makes large-scale cultivation more complex and contributes to its higher value.
We think it is one of the most beautiful lavender oils we have ever smelled. Terroir, including the climate, soil, and environment, plays a significant role in the unique perfume of each harvest.
