There are two main sources of hyaluronic acid:
• Animal-derived (commonly rooster combs)
• Biofermented from natural plant sugars
Our material is produced via bacterial fermentation using glucose from corn, making it suitable for vegan and natural cosmetic formulations.
Formulation notes
- Hyaluronic acid powder should be added to the water phase of formulations.
- Sprinkle slowly into water with gentle stirring to avoid clumping.
- Allow sufficient time for full hydration, gel formation can take several hours.
- Hyaluronic acid can tolerate gentle heating (up to ~60–70°C) during normal emulsification, but prolonged or excessive heat should be avoided.
