Emulsifier O, Ecocert approved (Olivem 1000)

Emulsifier O (Olivem 1000) is a natural, non-ionic oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier derived from olives and RSPO mass balance certified palm oil. It is PEG-free and Ecocert-approved, making it a popular choice for natural and organic formulations.

Thanks to its unique liquid crystal structure, Olivem 1000 closely mimics the skin’s natural lipids, helping it integrate into the stratum corneum and support skin barrier function. This gives emulsions made with Olivem 1000 excellent stability, skin compatibility, and a silky texture that absorbs quickly.

With restructuring and thickening properties, it is often said to support skin tonicity and elasticity, making it ideal for anti-ageing and hydrating formulas. It comes in white flakes and is easy to work with, even as a standalone emulsifier.

Formulation guidelines

• Light lotions: 4% (water phase 80%, oil phase 16%, Olivem 1000 4%). Initially very fluid, firms up over 48 hours.
• Face creams: 6% (water phase 80%, oil phase 14%, Olivem 1000 6%).
• Body creams: 8% (water phase 75%, oil phase 15%, Olivem 1000 8%).
• Body butters: 10% (water phase 60%, oil phase 30%, Olivem 1000 10%).

Compatible with most cosmetic ingredients across a wide pH range (3–12), Olivem 1000 is clinically tested, safe, and hypoallergenic. A reliable and versatile emulsifier with an elegant skin feel.
