Calcium carbonate is a naturally occurring mineral, finely ground from limestone and other calcium-rich rocks. It is Non-GMO, vegan, and widely used in cosmetics and personal care for its absorbent and mattifying properties. Its fine, chalky texture makes it ideal in colour cosmetics and face masks, where it helps absorb excess oil and reduce shine. In pressed powders and eyeshadows it supports smooth application and helps prevent creasing, while in masks and scrubs it gives body and a mild polishing effect.
