Clove bud essential oil, certified organic

Clove bud essential oil is steam-distilled from the dried flower buds of Eugenia caryophyllata, a tropical evergreen tree that can grow up to 12m tall. The buds are harvested just before flowering, then carefully dried to produce the cloves commonly known as a spice.

The oil has a warm, spicy, and slightly sweet aroma that brings depth and richness to blends. It is often used in diffusers, seasonal blends, and home fragrance products where a comforting, familiar scent is desired.

Historically, cloves were among the most valuable trade goods in Europe, once worth more than their weight in gold. The name “clove” comes from the Latin clavus, meaning nail, referencing the distinctive shape of the dried buds.
